Jivana Beach Villa Wedding in Phuket

Here was my last wedding just before Thailand closed its borders in March of 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic and this was also the last wedding I have photographed since.

A bit about this lovely Phuket wedding at the Jivana beach villas of Emily & Ali. Emily & Ali hired my wedding & event company for their wedding planners and chose me as their Phuket wedding photographer and videography team so they had LOTS of trust in me. We also organized a pre-wedding boat party for them that was epic FUN (see photos), a perfect example of how to take advantage of a destination Thailand wedding trip!. Because of the covid situation we “very last minute” had to change the wedding date to an earlier time so my team was super busy with the task of planning the Phuket villa wedding in just a few days notice..

However, the wedding happened without any major issues hahaha I say “any major issues” because the world is not a perfect place but luckily the couple was super relaxed given all the last-minute challenges and they made the very best of their special day. So my last wedding of 2020 we went out with a blast, so much fun, laughs, tears and ended it with another epic party!.

Since then unfortunately I had to close my event company (temporally) and pause my wedding photography business as 100% of my business was based around Thailand tourism. It has been very difficult for everyone here on Phuket. We went from having 30-50 weddings a year to nothing at all overnight, 18 months later as I write this post I have had only a few paying jobs since and I have had to refinance my house and take out loans just to survive.. But the good news is that as of NOVEMBER 1, 2021 Thailand is re-opening its borders to international tourists and I am starting to get more enquiries for Thailand weddings for 2022-2023, although there will still be tough times ahead and we won’t see weddings here be back to the glory that it once was for a few more years, its a start… AND man I cant wait to be back on the battlefield soon! <3
