Every family holiday has a few moments you’ll want back later: a toddler running at the waves, a grandparent laughing, the whole group squinting into the sun. As a Phuket family photographer, my job is to catch those moments without turning the morning into a performance.
I work in a candid, documentary way. You’ll get a few classic portraits, but most of the gallery comes from watching your family play, hold hands and be themselves. You leave with high-resolution, edited photos that look nothing like a posed holiday snap.

The right setting depends on your family’s pace, your children’s ages and where you’re staying. I’ll suggest the best option once I know your plans.
Beaches: Kata Noi, Surin, Layan and Naiharn
Beach sessions are the most popular for good reason. Kata Noi, Surin and Layan are good for relaxed barefoot portraits, and Naiharn is lovely at sunrise when it’s cool and quiet. Kids wander off, which is fine, because those moments often become your favourite frames.
Private villas and resorts
If you’re staying in a villa or resort, shooting there keeps things easy. Babies can nap nearby, there’s shade and snacks, and nobody has to travel.
Old Phuket Town
The Sino-Portuguese shophouses and colourful streets give the photos a cultural feel that’s very different from a beach. Older kids often enjoy it more because there’s something to look at.

Scenic spots such as Promthep Cape, Big Buddha and Windmill Viewpoint add big landscapes. Promthep Cape works well for golden-hour portraits. These places draw crowds, so timing matters, and I’ll help you choose an hour that works.

How to prepare for your Phuket family photo shoot
A little preparation makes sessions calmer, especially with young children. Here’s what I tell families.
Choose the time of day around your children
Phuket is hot, and tired, hungry kids don’t smile. I suggest sunrise or the last hour or so before sunset, when the light is soft and the temperature is gentler. If your baby naps then, plan around the nap, not around me.
What to wear
Pick a simple colour palette and let everyone coordinate without matching. Soft, light colours photograph well on the beach. Skip big logos and busy patterns, and pack a spare outfit for any child heading for the water.
Keep it light
Don’t over-plan poses. The best images come from laughter and play. Tell the kids what’s happening, keep it fun, and don’t worry if they don’t look at the camera. Bring water, sunscreen and a small towel (especially for kids), and let me know if there are particular shots you have in mind.

Rates vary with session length, the number of family members and location. The packages below are for a family of 3 to 4 people (mother, father, and 1 or 2 kids). Bigger group? Send me the details and I’ll advise.
I’m based in Phuket, but I also travel to Krabi, Koh Samui, Khao Lak and other destinations in Thailand (additional travel costs may apply). Pick a shorter package if your kids run out of patience quickly, and a longer one for more locations or a bigger gallery.

Send a message through the contact page, by email or on WhatsApp. I reply to every email or text within 24 hours. Tell me your dates, where you’re staying and how many of you there are, and I’ll suggest a package and a time.

Why choose me as your Phuket family photographer?
I moved to Phuket in 2009 and photographed my first wedding in 2011. I’m also a father and a husband, so I know how quickly children grow. My goal is a relaxed session where your family feels natural.
I’m Thailand Wedding Photographer of the Year (LUXlife Magazine) for 2019, 2024 and 2025. Most of my couples fly in from Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, the UK and the US, so I’m used to working with visitors on a short holiday schedule. My family packages start at THB 12,000 for 1 hour of coverage and 20+ edited photos, and go up to THB 45,000 for 5 hours and 80+ photos. Rates are for a family of 3 to 4 people. Larger groups or travel outside Phuket may change the price, so ask me for a quote and I’ll reply within 24 hours.
How long does a family session take?
It depends on your package, from 1 hour up to 5 hours of coverage. For most families with young children, 60 to 90 minutes is plenty. Longer packages suit bigger groups, several locations, or families who want a relaxed pace with breaks.
What is the best time of day for family photos in Phuket?
Sunrise or the last hour or so before sunset, when the light is softer and the heat is lower. If your children nap or get hungry at set times, we plan around them. A rested, fed child usually gives better photos than perfect light.
Where is the best place for a family photo shoot in Phuket?
It depends on your family. Beaches such as Kata Noi, Surin, Layan and Naiharn suit relaxed barefoot portraits, a villa suits babies and toddlers, and Old Phuket Town is good for older kids. Tell me where you’re staying and I’ll recommend a spot.
