Overview
In this video I explain the importance of having a wedding photography schedule for your destination wedding in Thailand and how it will maximize not only the quality of the photography but the quality of your experience. Plus I talk about other important Thailand wedding tips.
My Approach
To achieve their vision, we carefully planned every detail of the photography process:
- We discussed the style and wedding timeline to ensure seamless coverage.
- We captured spontaneous, emotional moments that reflected the couple’s genuine happiness.
- Using natural light and artistic composition, we created timeless wedding portraits.

FAQ - Photography Schedule
Assuming you are having the standard Thailand wedding and hire me for full day coverage which is normally 8 hours. I would start at 2pm to capture details, behind the scenes and portraits of the bride and groom before the ceremony.
I recommend your hair & makeup to be ready at least 2 hours before your ceremony so we can capture some shots with you and the bridesmaids in your robes, you can rest and we will have adequate time for portraits with your dress on. No rush means less stress and in return better photography!
This will depend on the time of the year, during the high season (NOV-MAY) the sun will set between 6:10-6:30pm so I recommend a 4:45-5:30pm ceremony depending on that sunset time and how long your ceremony will last. I never recommend earlier than 4:30pm as its too hot and the lighting is too harsh leaving over exposed highlights and dark shadows, it never looks good for photography.
I request between 20-40min for a good range of portraits, we dont need to do them all at once, normally if time allows I will photograph the bride & groom after the ceremony say around 5:30pm for just 10-15min, I will then give you a break to mingle with guests durning cocktail hour. Then around 6:10-6:15pm just before or while the sun is setting I will take you both on the beach for another 10-15min. This way we are not rushed, you wont have to work so hard getting your photos taken for a whole hour, you can rest and you’ll get a great mix of different photos, exposures and contrasts. As a Thailand wedding photographer its important for me that you are comfortable, enjoy the process and get the best out of me. These time schedules apply for Phuket, Koh Samui and Krabi.
