Koh Samui wedding at Villa Kalyana

Koh Samui wedding at Villa Kalyana

Koh Samui wedding photography of Nansi & Adam from Koh Samui in March at Villa Kalyana Koh Samui South Beach…. What I thought was kinda a dud on the day turned of GREAT!, I was a bit concerned about the portrait session as the couple expressed their love & want for heaps of sunset photos which we organised time wise but unfortunately it was cloudy, completely grey leaving me with zero light to play with so I had to rely on poses, their chemistry and good looks!..Good thing the bride was formerly a model in Bangkok, Thailand (yes she is half THAI) and Singapore before settling down and moving back to Australia to be closer to Adam and if I were a betting man I’d say Adam has some modelling experience, what do you think?  ….. To my amazement the portraits came out better then I could have asked for, I guess the grey sky’s complimented their skin tones leaving no harsh highlights or shadows and their natural ability in front of the camera helped. I ended up with 40-50 portraits from just a 15 min session, this is almost unheard of as even in a 1hr shoot I normally end up with just a handful of selects, I even had a hard time processing the images because I didnt want to delete any of the photos, not even the duplicates!.. The rest of the day/night was fab, the wedding party were very friendly and alot of fun as you can see from the photos they danced the night away… The video that was produced by The Baci Productions (us) will be up shortly.

Koh Samui wedding photographer | Neal & Ruth

Koh Samui wedding of Neal & Ruth at The Pawanthorn Villas in Koh Samui, Thailand. It was a very long non stop action kind of day starting from the bride & groom getting ready in the early morning to a religious Church ceremony that lasted about 2 hours late morning to afternoon, then we drove back to the Villa from the Koh Samui church which is 50 minutes away. The bride did a quick touch up and had a 2nd ceremony this time western beach/lawn wedding…. It was a super extremely HOT day for a beach/lawn wedding!, I had to hydrate myself over and over again and I sweat through 4 T-shirts, yup Thailand weather!.. There were many events, games and cultured family traditions unfolded at night not ending till around midnight!, we had alot of fun and Neal & Ruth their family and friends were very lovely, Ruth and Neal were recommended to hire me from their friend in Dubai whom’s wedding I photographed just 1 year prior.. Neal & Ruth had a wicked idea that I havent seen before they taped a GoPro on the bottle of fireball and everyone in the wedding party passed it around all night till it was empty!, lol I hope to see the video….. Faraway weddings Koh Samui wedding organises / planners of the day… Here is there wedding video produced my “The Baci Productions Team” (us) and Photography below from myself Daniel Baci and team of assistant photographers.

Phuket, Thailand Pre-Wedding / Engagement Photography

Phuket, Thailand Pre-Wedding / Engagement Photography

Angela & Jason – Pre wedding / engagement photography session at the Jivana Villas in Phuket, Thailand. I have been really enjoying my pre-wedding / engagement photo sessions lately as they can be a big relieve from a hectic coas of a wedding and I really get a chance to take my time with the couple and get to know them better.. Its truly a unique experience being a photographer being able to meet new people, the way people will automatically trust you and the relationship you can build with people you just met is priceless…. I look forward to doing more pre wedding photo shoots, its easy and a lot of fun for everyone!
Jivana Villas located in Phang Nga, 25 minutes drive north of Phuket airport on the unspoiled Natai Beach, each of the four luxury villas each enjoy 6,400 square meters or more of land with 60 to 90 meters beach frontage.

Milan, Italy destination wedding photography

Milan, Italy destination wedding photography

Sara & Stefano, Milan Italy wedding….. What an incredible experience I was given to travel to Milan Italy to photograph a wedding with a fellow photographer/friend Aurore Martignoni,

Aurore Martignoni Aurore Martignoni and I have worked together a few times before shooting other destination weddings in Koh Samui and Phuket, Thailand.

Being an American Italian (living in Thailand), I have always not just dreamed of shooting a wedding in Italy but all my life I have been dreaming of visiting Italy so what better way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone?, well thats exactly what I did!…

I booked about 5-6 days in Italy, I stayed mainly in Milan as thats where the wedding was but I managed to take a 2 day trip to Venice via train which was fantastic!.. Okay back to the wedding……

The morning started with the normal serving of caos!, I had to meet “Aurore Martignoni” just outside of Milan city early in the morning to make it to the brides room for preparation. I woke up super early, downed a few expresso’s and left my “flat” in the city. if anyone knows Milan they know that Milan has one of the BIGGEST subway systems in the world!, lucky me I had google maps right? 😉

well no, google maps dont always get the directions spot on, I ended up not taking a connecting line because my google map didnt say anything about a connecting train and I ended up in the middle of nowhere!. I phoned Aurore (or she phone the late guy) telling her where I thought I was, come to find out later that I was way far away from where she was waiting for me. So Aurore and I finally found each other, she picked me up in one of those tiny mini Euro cars!, (haha had a few laughs driving around in that) and we were on our way with little trouble other then being 45 min late to meet the bride!..

The rest of the day had very little caos because the bride & groom and the entire wedding party were so relaxed and easy going!, like most weddings everything went super fast and next thing I know we are finished with the Church ceremony and are heading to the Dimore del Gusto for the wedding reception. Everything is a little more spaced out time wise compared to the flow of a hectic Thailand beach wedding that I am so used to. I have already had a few adrenaline dumps by 5pm and was feeling a bit tired already, I was thinking to myself well this is Italy, I know Italians love to monja (eat) so hopefully there will be a good break soon. I was spot on, everyone sat down to eat including us the photographers and we ate, then ate, then ate well if you come from an Italian family you know what I mean, I am pretty sure it was a 10 corse meal!, but it was just what I needed to restore my energy and it was nice to be around a large Italian family again, it reminded me of functions I use to attend with my Parents & sibling when I was growing up and living in Thailand I rarely get to feast on a huge Italian meal!.. The rest of the night was filled with fun, laughter oh and BACI’s LOL, all night I kept hearing everyone screaming my last name “baci, baci, baci” it means KISS in the Italian language so they would chant it for the B&G to kiss but it sure had me on my toes!.. As you can see I took a lot of photos of people throughout the day because the wedding vibe was very family & friend oriented!… Thank you Aurore, Stef & Sara for having me, I had the time of my life and I hope to return again sometime in the future! #DREAMSdoCOMEtrue

Max & Dina – Koh Samui, Thailand wedding @ The Nora Buri Resort

Max & Dina – Koh Samui, Thailand wedding @ The Nora Buri Resort

Koh Samui destination wedding photograph’s of Max & Dina at the Nora Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand. Dina a former Muay Thai fighter whom I knew not personally but through the Muay Thai boxing world, I remember I filmed-photographed a couple of her fights back when I was a combat sports journalist but we never met. When she sent me an email regarding her wedding I recognised her but didnt think much of it till she asked me “do I know you from somewhere?” then it all came into place. Max her husband is a Policeman, so the day was filled with entertaining personalities!, I had to theme a few shots based off the the Muay Thai boxing & cop thing.. We had a great time, thank you for having us.

Koh Samui Church & Villa wedding

Koh Samui, Thailand wedding Photography & Videography by Daniel Baci and The Baci Production’s. Janet & Kenneth from Dubai contacted me about 1+ years before the wedding with a list of questions about 2 pages long and after about 30 email exchanges they finally decided to hire me.. The wedding was a long one with early morning Church ceremony followed by a beach ceremony followed by games. games, dancing and more dancing!.. Really it felt like 2-3 day event but they managed to stuff everything into a 16 hour day! :O

Lucky me they were a super fun and easy going couple so the 16 hours wasnt as stressful as it could have been and I had a large team of 3 photographers and 3 videographers in total!, somehow at the end of the night we all ended up in the party with camera’s down, the family let us right in..
